ApproveCart B2B
Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 15, 2026
ApproveCart B2B is a Shopify app that helps merchants manage internal purchase approval workflows for B2B customers. This policy explains what app data is processed and how it is used.
Information We Process
The app processes Shopify shop information, app installation sessions, merchant approval settings, workflow rules, B2B company identifiers, company contact identifiers, customer names and email addresses needed for approval routing, approval request history, approval decision notes, order references, and cart line details needed to verify that a checkout matches an approved cart.
How Information Is Used
Information is used to configure approval policies, identify buyers and approvers, create and display approval requests, block unapproved checkout attempts, restore approved carts, keep an audit trail for the merchant, and respond to merchant support requests.
Data Sharing
App data is used to operate the approval workflow for the installing merchant. It is not sold. The app may use Shopify APIs, the hosting provider, database provider, and optional support tooling to deliver the service.
Data Retention And Deletion
The app retains approval workflow data while the app is installed and while it is needed for the merchant's operational records. Shopify privacy compliance webhooks are handled for customer data requests, customer redaction, and shop redaction. Customer redaction anonymizes customer identifiers and email addresses in approval records, and shop redaction removes shop-scoped app data.
Security
The app verifies Shopify admin, checkout, customer account, app proxy, and webhook requests before processing protected workflow data. Production data is stored in a managed database and transmitted over HTTPS.
Contact
Merchants can contact support from the app's Help page in Shopify admin. For privacy or data requests, use the contact information listed in the Shopify App Store listing for ApproveCart B2B.
